Bio
My name is Jo Jay, I am a qualified florist and experienced flower grower, based in Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire. I set up Blooming Garden Flowers in 2021 to combine my passion for growing flowers and floristry.
Since my own childhood garden I have loved growing flowers. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the seeds I’ve sown or plants I’ve nurtured, reach their potential. It is this long standing appreciation of flowers which led me to train as a florist.
Having completed a wide range of floristry training courses with The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers, I achieved the Diploma in Flower Design.
It gives me such pleasure to work with a couple to deliver their vision of wedding florals and help to realise their dreams. I also enjoy freelancing for local florists when they need an extra pair of hands for a larger wedding. In the quieter months I like to make bespoke dried-flower wreaths (yes I grow and dry flowers too!) and host small group wreath or floral workshops from my home.
